Doge Mountain
6am is the time of day when you have an excuse for anything because it's 6am. So when I went out to Dog Mountain with my brother that early, I was so mad at myself when I realized half way through the Gorge that I had forgotten to bring my camera.
"It's okay," I thought. "I got up so early, it's understandable. Anyways, I've been to Dog Mountain Before." And then we made it to the Columbia River Gorge Highway and that morning light peeked through the hills. Suddenly I had no excuses. New resolution: wake up earlier to go hiking more frequently. Never forget your camera.
