Walks in the Wild
Recently my mom told me that all the activities I was signed up for as a kid was her way of training me to be a pop star for the Philippines. I danced a ton, sang, did plays, tennis, karate, and classes on pretty much anything you can think of. I was a pretty busy kid. She wanted me to move back to the Philippines and become famous, which is hilarious because if you know me at all you'll know I am incredibly uncomfortable in front of the camera, and I really don't know a lot about my own Philippine culture.
So, mom- this video is for you. I'm going to practice being in front of the camera so I can be famous one day, but maybe only in the Philippines, and then I'll buy you a big house where you can live on the beach of Cebu in luxury and I'll come visit you and we can go on adventures together.
Really though, I'm terribly awkward and I tell bad jokes constantly, both of which I'd rather not have documented on camera. But there's something that you start to learn about yourself when you have to talk aimlessly on camera that's sort of fulfilling, no matter how awkward you are. So here I am, walking in the wild, mostly talking to myself but also to Chris who filmed this. Thanks, Chris!
Might eventually make a Youtube channel out of this sort of banter, but with more cuts to some of my videography to give you a break from the awkward stiff smile on my face. I'm also looking to include some videos on my process and some drone adventure videos.
Anyway, I'm slowly catching back up with Keri in the Wild and I'd love to hear from you if you have comments, questions, concerns, suggestions, insults, jokes, topics you'd love to hear me rant on, etc. So use the comments below to let me know what you'd like to hear me talk about or tell me that you don't want to hear me talk about anything at all. Either way, write me words please!
