Quarantine

Notes from quarantine

A missed opportunity. A limbo. A new side of this city I had grown to dislike so much. That maybe I’ve had a taste that brings me a little closer to liking this corporate jungle while i’m here. Quarantine is emptying the streets, making it safer for me to bike and I’ve seen more of this city in two weeks than I had in two years. It’s charming.

I like to look up when i’m biking. It’s a thrill - a little bit of danger for not looking ahead; a little bit of wonder for looking above. Not a lot of people look up in NYC, even during this quiet dystopian quarantine where the city is empty and there are less distractions keeping your gaze locked down.

A lot of sunrises and sunsets unaccompanied by the bustle of NYC, giving me one more reason for the city.

Stay Safe, friends.
